SUBMITTING MATERIAL & ORDERING
PROCESS
| Q. |
Is
there a minimum amount of units that I must order? |
| A. |
Yes.
You must order at least 25 units. The cost includes creation of the
design, parts, and assembly. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
How
long does the process take? |
| A. |
The
process takes about three weeks from the time we begin creating the
design until final delivery of the product. However, time will vary
depending on customer approval of the design, any changes to the product,
and any unforseen circumstances which could delay production and assembly
of the materials. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
How
do I submit my images? |
| A. |
Once
we have received the content information you provided in the submission
form, you will receive an email for payment. Once we have received
payment, we'll contact you and send you an FTP site where you can
upload your images. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
size should my images be? |
| A. |
If you're
sending us physical photos (not digital files), we prefer the size
to be at least 4"x6". If you're sending digital files, we
request the image size to be at least 4"x6" with at least
300 dpi. However, we encourage you to send in larger files because
it provides us with more options for your design. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
Will
I get back any materials that I submit for the invitation? |
| A. |
Yes.
We will return any materials that you send. The materials will be
sent with the shipment of the final product. If we scan any material
needed for the invitation, we'll send you a CD-R with all the files.
PLEASE DO NOT send any "one-of-kind" images/photos
via post. Although we take every precaution to safeguard your materials,
we are NOT responsible for loss or damage of that material. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
How
much will I pay in shipping charges? |
| A. |
We ship
all packages via UPS Ground Transit. To see approximate shipping charges,

us for a quote. |

DESIGN
| Q. |
Do
I have any input on the design? |
| A. |
Yes.
When you're ready to order, you'll fill out a content form that will
allow you to pick out the "theme," plus provide all the
text and images for your design. You will also be asked to provide
any specific instructions. (Example: Please use a script-type
font; please make sure all text is in red; please make sure "photo
X" is on the front of the cover.)
You may receive up to two (2) proofs to check for content (that we
followed any specific instructions you gave) and spelling. Unless
specified in your instructions, all design layout and type treatment
is final and at the discretion of the designer.
Our most satisfied clients put trust in our professional design experience
and ability and give us the most room to be creative with their material.
Once we have received all materials and payment and have begun work
on your project, no refunds will be given. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
Can
you touch up any photos I submit? |
| A. |
We can
fix minor blemishes such as pimples or small scratches in a photo.
However, we will not do cosmetic or elaborate touch-ups such as removing
wrinkles or deleting someone out of a picture. If you have any questions
regarding what is a simple fix versus an elaborate fix, please contact
us. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
Can
I create my own rating? |
| A. |
Yes.
You can create any rating you want. For an idea of how to create a
rating, please navigate to our INVITATIONS
page. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
Can
I create my own studio logo(s) for the design? |
| A. |
Yes.
You can create any logo and send it to us via email. If you do, please
be sure to send the logo as an EPS, TIFF, or JPEG with at least 300
dpi. If you wish to have a unique logo created for you, the cost is
$600 for logo design. For more information on logo pricing, please
navigate to PRICING. To see some
of our own movie studio logos we can include on your design, please

| Q. |
How
many people can I put on the billing block? |
| A. |
You
can put up to twenty different people on the billing block. You can
assign titles to any of them, or we can do this for you. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
How
long can my story be? |
| A. |
The
story can be up to 100 words. If we need to reduce the number of words
to fit in the design, we'll contact you. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
How
many colors can I have on the disc label? |
| A. |
Black
& white or full color, the disc will complement the color scheme
used in the cover design. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
Can
I see a sample of the artwork/design information before it's finished? |
| A. |
Yes.
As part of the cost of the design creation, we include up to two proofs
that we can send you via e-mail. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
if I just want the design and nothing else? |
| A. |
We can
do just the design and send it to you. The cost for design only is
$350. |
| |
TOP |
TECHNICAL
| Q. |
Do
you make actual invitation "movies?" |
| A. |
No.
We do not create any video. However, you may send us pre-existing
data that we can burn onto your discs for you. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
is the difference between a CD and DVD? |
| A. |
The
amount of data the disc can hold. Depending on what you plan to do
with the disc, you can have either a CD or DVD. A blank DVD can hold
up to 4.7 gigabytes of data, while a blank CD can hold up to 700 megabytes. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
Is
the disc artwork printed on a label or directly on the disc? |
| A. |
We print
directly on to the disc surface. We discourage people from using labels
because if the disc drive gets too hot, the adhesive will melt off
the disc and run into the drive components and potentially destroy
your drive. Not to mention that silk screen printing looks better! |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
is dpi? |
| A. |
DPI
is "dots per inch," or a measurement of how many printing
dots can fit into one inch. The higher the amount of dots, the sharper
the image will be. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
if my images are not 300 dpi? |
| A. |
If your
images are not at least 300 dpi, you run the risk of poor resolution
(clarity, color, detail) on the printed version of your event invitation.
Please contact us, and
we can discuss options with you to work around resolution size. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
kind of file types do you acccept? |
| A. |
Generally,
we can accept any kind of image file format. However, we prefer to
use JPEG, TIFF, or EPS files for all images. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
are JPEG, TIFF, and EPS? |
| A. |
JPEG:
(Joint Photographic Experts Group) A file format used for color images.
It retains a higher degree of color and file sizes are smaller. However,
the more you compress a JPEG file the more resolution (detail, color,
clarity) is lost.
TIFF: (Tagged Image File Format) A TIFF is the most
widely supported file format for storing images on a computer. It
can handle a massive range of image color. A TIFF can be black and
white, grayscale or color.
EPS: (Encapsulated Postscript File) A file format
that is compatible with almost every design program across different
computer platforms (like Apple and Windows.) This format also allows
for tremendous resolution with a relatively small file size. |
| |
TOP |
| Q. |
What
if I don't have these types of files? |
| A. |
If you
do not have JPEG, TIFF, or EPS formatted files, please contact
us. We can discuss options for using your images. |
| |
TOP |
ETC.
| Q. |
I'm
an event planner and wish to use your service for a client. May I
put my logo on the cover? |
| A. |
Yes.
With the approval of your client, we will gladly put your logo on
the back of the movie cover along with the studio logos. We will not
charge you or your client for this service, and your logo will not
count as part of the allotted space for studio logo use. We will need
a high-resolution graphic of your logo to include on the cover. If
you do not have a logo, we can arrange a text version. |
